Banbukeyo Sannatte’ (Spicy Breadfruit Curry)

Serves 8 t0 10
For the spice mix
- Big onion
- 4 garlic
- ½ inch ginger
- 1 tea spoon turmeric
- 1 tea spoon fennel seed
- 2 tea spoon cumin seed
- Salt
- Lemon juice or 3 slice of green mango
- 4 dry chili
- 1 fresh chili (giteyo mirus)
- 2 cardamom
- 8 black pepper
- Curry leaves
- 3 to for spoon grated coconut
Main Ingredients
- 1 breadfruit (banbukeyo)
- 300 grams dry fish
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Maldivian smoked tuna fish
Preparation
All the ingredients in the spice mix grind into a smooth paste.
Banbukeyo or breadfruit, peeled and cut into bite size cubes
Maldivian smoked tuna fish ( valhomas), thinly sliced
Add water into cooking pot add the banbukeyo or breadfruit cubes, cook until soften (10 minutes). Add the spice mix and the sliced fish into it cook for 5 to 8 minutes
Serve with rice or flat bread.
