Havaadhully Bis
Ingredients
Dough
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 table spoon oil
Preparation
Add the flour into a bowl
Add the oil and salt, add warm water slowly and make a dough.
Make small balls
Filling
- 1 onion
- 1/2 tsp gingr grated
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1 tin tuna
- 100 grams slice dry fish (valomus)
- 1 giteyo mirus (chilli)
- 6 curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp tumeric powder
- Giteyo mirus (chilli)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 lemon (juice)
Preparation
Cut the onion & curry leaves, add all the ingredients, squeeze the lemon and mix by hand.
To the balls add the filling
In a cooking pot add 2 cups of water and little oil and salt when it starts to boil add the balls, cook for 4 to 6 minutes and take and keep in a plate.
Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic grated
- 1/2 tea spoon grated ginger
- 6 curry leaves
- 1 small giteyo mirus (chilli)
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tsp oil
- 2 caradamon
- 4 tsp tomato paste
Preparation
Add the oil, cardamon, onion, giteyo mirus, curry leaves, ginger & garlic and salute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the cumin powder, chilli powder, salt and tomato paste salute for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the cooked filled balls or bis into it and slowly trybyo mix with it.
Serve it with hot tea.
Its one of my favourite short eat in Maldives specially in ramazan.
